How to Get to Como

Reaching Como is easy thanks to excellent rail and road connections. If you are traveling by train, the city is served by the stations of Como San Giovanni and Como Lago, both just a few minutes’ walk from the historic center and the lakeside promenade.

For those arriving by car, Como is easily accessible via the A9 Milan–Chiasso motorway. During peak times, it is advisable to use the parking lots located just outside the city center and continue on foot, avoiding traffic in the historic area.

If you arrive by plane, the nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Milano Bergamo Orio al Serio, all connected to Como by train, bus, or rental car.

Once you arrive, the best way to explore Como is on foot: the historic center, the lakeside promenade, and many of the main attractions are all within a short walking distance of each other.
